Privacy

Privacy Policy.

Last updated: April 2026. This policy explains what personal information Marquee Chauffeur collects from Portland-area riders, how that information is used to complete ground transportation bookings, and what rights passengers have under the General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, and the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act.

01Information We Collect

The Data a Booking
Actually Requires.

Marquee collects only the information needed to deliver a requested ride. At the time of reservation, a passenger provides a legal name, a pickup address, a drop-off address, a pickup time, a phone number for day-of coordination, an email address for the confirmation and receipt, and a payment method for the hold and final charge.

For airport trips, the booking captures the airline flight number and arrival or departure time so dispatch can track the flight and adjust the chauffeur's arrival. Corporate accounts with PUC-regulated driver license verification requirements provide identifying details for the authorized billing contact and for passengers who will travel on the account. No other data is requested, and no data is collected passively beyond the essential cookies described in the website tracking section.

Marquee Chauffeur reservation data use Portland dispatch coordination FlightAware chauffeur assignment booking fulfillment
Reservation data is used for booking fulfillment, dispatch coordination, and FlightAware API flight-number lookup that adjusts chauffeur arrival time for early or delayed flights — never for profiling, marketing, or any purpose outside the scope of the booked service.

02How We Use Your Information

Why the Data
Exists on File.

Reservation data is used for booking fulfillment, dispatch coordination, and contact with the assigned chauffeur. Flight numbers are used only to query the FlightAware API so the chauffeur arrives in sync with the actual flight status.

Email addresses are used to send the booking confirmation, the trip receipt, and for account holders any required notice of policy changes. Phone numbers are used for the day-of coordination call or text and nothing else. Aggregated, non-identifying trip data is used internally to improve dispatch timing and chauffeur staffing, but individual passenger records are not used for profiling, marketing, or any purpose outside the scope of the booked service.

Marquee Chauffeur data sharing scope Portland chauffeur trip sheet PCI-DSS payment processor no advertising networks
Reservation data is seen only by the Marquee dispatcher on shift, the chauffeur assigned to the trip, and the PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor contractually bound to use card data only for authorization and settlement — with no advertising networks, no cross-site identifiers, and no data sales.

03How We Share Your Information

Who Sees Your Data,
and Who Does Not.

Marquee Chauffeur does not sell passenger data to third parties, does not trade it, and does not share it with advertising networks.

Inside the company, reservation details are shared only with the dispatcher on shift and the chauffeur assigned to the trip. Outside the company, card data is transmitted to a PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor for authorization and settlement, and the processor is contractually bound to use that data only to complete the charge. Government authorities receive information only when a valid subpoena, court order, or statutory request requires disclosure, and the affected passenger is notified unless a court order prevents it.

Marquee Chauffeur payment data security Portland PCI-DSS gateway HTTPS TLS tokenized card last four digits device encryption
Card data runs through a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway with full card numbers never stored on Marquee servers, only a tokenized reference and the last four digits retained for receipt matching, HTTPS and TLS encryption on every form submission and dispatch communication, and device-level encryption on dispatch laptops and phones.

04Data Security

How Payment and Personal Data
Are Protected.

Card data is processed through a PCI-DSS-compliant payment gateway. Full card numbers are not stored on Marquee servers at any stage. The reservation system retains only a tokenized reference and the last four digits for receipt matching.

All form submissions, account logins, and dispatch communications run over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Access to the dispatch system is limited to active employees on a role-based basis and is revoked the same day a chauffeur or dispatcher leaves the company. Laptops and phones used for dispatch are encrypted at the device level and protected by strong passcodes.

05Your Rights

Rights Under GDPR, CCPA,
and the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act.

Riders covered by the General Data Protection Regulation, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act hold the following rights over their personal information held by Marquee Chauffeur: the right to access the data on file, the right to request correction of inaccurate data, the right to request deletion of data that is no longer required for a lawful purpose, and the right to know what categories of data are held and for how long.

The right to opt out of the sale of personal information is preserved in principle, though it does not apply in practice because Marquee does not sell data to any third party. Requests are processed free of charge for the first request in any 12-month period. Retaliation against a passenger for exercising a privacy right is prohibited and Marquee will not refuse service, raise a price, or degrade service quality because a privacy request was filed.

06How to Submit a Data Request

Filing an Access, Correction,
or Deletion Request.

Send a written request to dispatch@marqueechauffeur.com with the subject line Privacy Request, or call dispatch at (503) 706-8662 and ask for the Privacy Officer. The request should describe the action being asked for: access to the data on file, correction of a specific field, deletion of the record, or a full summary of the data held.

Identity is verified using the phone number or email tied to the reservation history before any data is released or deleted. Marquee confirms receipt of the request within five business days and completes the substantive response within 30 days, the standard shared across GDPR, CCPA, and the Oregon Consumer Privacy Act. If the request is denied in part because a record must be retained under PUC or tax rules, the response explains which record is kept and why.

07Data Retention

How Long Each Type of Record
Stays on File.

Completed reservations are retained for seven years to satisfy Oregon Public Utility Commission audit requirements and federal tax recordkeeping obligations. That retention period covers the trip sheet, the receipt, and any note attached to the booking by dispatch.

Inquiries from people who contacted Marquee but never booked a trip are purged after 18 months of inactivity. Card pre-authorization data is purged the moment the charge settles or the hold expires, with no exception. Voice recordings of dispatch calls, when kept for training or quality purposes, are deleted within 90 days unless a specific call is retained for a live dispute or claim.

08Cookies and Website Tracking

What the Website
Stores Locally.

The Marquee website uses essential cookies required for the booking form, session security, and basic preference memory such as a remembered vehicle type. It does not run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or cross-site identifiers.

Traffic analytics run with IP anonymization so no individual visitor is associated with a browsing session. The analytics data is used only to understand which pages riders reach most often and where the site can be improved. You can disable all non-essential cookies in your browser without losing the ability to reserve a trip by phone at (503) 706-8662 or by email.

09Minors

Bookings That
Involve Passengers Under 18.

Marquee Chauffeur does not market its service to anyone under the age of 18 and does not knowingly collect personal information directly from minors. The reservation system requires the booking contact to be an adult with a valid payment method.

Rides that include passengers under 18, such as wedding transport, prom bookings, or family airport pickups, are booked by a parent, guardian, or corporate account holder who supplies all contact and payment information. The chauffeur receives only the passenger first name and the pickup and drop-off addresses needed to complete the trip safely. No marketing material is ever sent to a minor passenger.

10Changes to This Policy

How Updates
Are Communicated.

Marquee reviews this privacy policy annually and revises it whenever a material change in data handling occurs.

When the policy changes in a way that affects passenger rights, account holders receive an email notice at the address on file, and a notice is posted on the website homepage for 30 days after the effective date. The last updated date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms, and account holders who disagree can request deletion of their data at any time.

11Contact the Privacy Officer

Where to Send Privacy
Questions or Complaints.

Privacy questions, formal requests, and complaints route to the Marquee Chauffeur Privacy Officer. Email dispatch@marqueechauffeur.com with the subject line Privacy Request, or call (503) 706-8662 and ask for the Privacy Officer by title.

Written correspondence can be mailed to Marquee Chauffeur, Attention Privacy Officer, 20612 SW Murphy Ln, Beaverton, OR 97078. A response is sent within five business days acknowledging receipt, and the substantive answer follows within 30 days. Passengers who believe a privacy right has been violated can also file a complaint with the Oregon Department of Justice or the applicable data protection authority in their jurisdiction.
